First Weeks Results for the Weight Loss Challenge

Well I wanted to lose almost 4 pounds a week which is a little more than recommended and my body said no. I did lose 3 pounds though so I am still happy. For the first week all I did was cut down on the number of calories I ate. I did no exercise at all.

For the second week, grrr week of Thanksgiving, I am adjusting when I eat. I was eating a little throughout the day and a big dinner. I know it works better when the calories are broken down throughout the day instead of a little in the morning, nothing all day and then a big dinner. I knew this yet still ate that way.

Exercise!!! For the second week I am throwing in a couple of days of exercise. One it is Thanksgiving week and I know I will be eating good on Thursday and going way beyond my calorie count. Thanksgiving this year is at my mom’s and I can’t really control the way she is going to cook it. I am hoping the couple of days of exercise will negate the extra calories from Thanksgiving dinner.

So the count is -3 pounds to me…yippee!!! I am not doing measurements again until week 4. I came to this decision when I couldn’t find the tape measure. That is what happens when you don’t put it back where it belongs after you use it. Also I don’t expect to see the measurements change for at least the first month.

I have to apologize for the delay in posting. We changed servers and have had some problems getting all the content back up so I could write the blog but couldn’t get it up on the site. We have fixed the problems so I can post and hopefully by tomorrow night all the content will be back up as well.
