Finance

Finance is simply funds management so I am told. We all know that it is not really that simple. On paper it is easy to create a budget and allocate spending and saving to cover everything we need. But we don’t live “on paper”. You can’t plan for every financial event or crisis you will face. So although finance is simply funds management, how you manage it, becomes the real issue.

There are three types of finances out there. You have personal finance, which affects just about all of us. Then there is business finance which affects a good deal of us. Then there is public finance which can greatly impact the other two.

Personal finance involves everything that has to do with your personal life and well being. For example the household budget, making a large purchase like a house or a car, paying for education and paying for insurance (i.e. health, life, home and car). We all deal with personal finances on some level. Maybe we don’t do it the way the experts say we should but we manage the best we know how.
Business finance involves all the finances that affect business. Whether you are running your own business or managing someone else’s business finance comes into this area. We don’t always think about this because a majority of the time it doesn’t directly affect us or we don’t see or feel the effects. However, businesses pass on their cost to consumers so their financial decisions do affect our personal finances. You don’t have to have a masters in business finance but it helps to understand that one can affect the other, even if it is not your business at all.
Public finance involves the finances of your local city, county and State. It also covers the financial areas of the Country’s overall government. Most of us don’t concern ourselves or even know what the public financial policies are. We know we pay taxes and those taxes pay for stuff but that is about as far as we go. Public finance is important and any citizen of any city, county, state and country should get some cursory knowledge into what goes on with the money we pay in taxes that goes into paying for all the public services we receive. In a democratic society it is especially important as the people have a say but their say only matters if they actually say something.

The main focus of what you will find here involves personal finances because that affects us all. Finding better ways to manage our funds, save more of our money, and have more of our money to spend on things we want and need is important. What you will find here are ways to deal with your finances in the best way possible. It won’t be the same for everyone because we are don’t live under the same circumstance. These are not just tips and advice that works on paper either. What you will find is real advice that can be used and put into practice in real life and not just on paper. I am sure we have all heard to have 6 months savings in the bank but for some people that is too much and for others not enough. There is no one right formula for everyone. So take a look through the articles and tips and find the ones that work best for your situation. Don’t worry about what everyone is doing with their money. If it doesn’t work for you it doesn’t matter.

I am just entering the world of business finance by starting my own business. As I learn more and go through the trials and tribulations of it all I will be adding new content about business finance. It is important to understand the basics so we can make good personal financial decisions when purchasing items from business and you will find that information here as well. As I start to learn what works in the real world as opposed to just on paper, I hope to pass that on to you so you can avoid the missteps and get it all working for you with ease.

I haven’t decided yet whether to enter the world of politics on this site. The politics of our local community, regional area and country do affect our finances. I do know that I will add content about politics in my blog but for now that is the limit. Politics are a sticky subject even on the best of days. I am looking to see if I can provide relevant and worthy content on public finances first before I move into the area of politics. It is information we need to know but I am just not sure if this site is the best place to get that information at this time. So for now public finance is “under construction”.

Funds management sounds so simple but we all know what a headache it can be. It is my hope that you will find here the advice, tools and tips you need to make it as simple as it sounds. Whether you are intimately involved with just one or all types the information you will find here can help you understand it better and with that understanding do it better.

I found your site recently and so far love your work. Looking forward to more post in the how to save money area. Helping people save money or bring in some extra money can be a life saver in this rough times.

I run a consignment shop online to help people bring in some cash from their old clothes. I have included a link but you can remove it if you aren’t comfortable with it. http://www.recycleyourfashions.com
