Divorce

Divorce is a difficult subject. It is on of the most difficult times in a person’s life even when it is amicable. Making it more difficult is having to understand what is happening and dealing with the logic and laws of it all while having to deal with the emotion of it all at the same time. In a perfect world, divorce would only be handled once all the emotional stuff was dealt with and out of the way but we don’t live in a perfect world.

Divorce laws are complicate around the world. With that comes the interpretation of those laws by lawyers and judges. The laws try to loosely cover every set of facts that may be presented a judge and allow the judges the flexibility to be equitable and fair while still having some consistency in the laws. No two cases will ever be the same because no two sets of facts are ever the same in each divorce. No one, not even your lawyer, can guarantee the outcome of your case. They can merely predict the way a judge may rule based on that judges history of rulings.

The articles you will find here are not legal advice as no one can give you proper legal advice without knowing all the facts of your case and what States’ or Countries’ laws would apply. You will come across many websites that offer legal “help” or articles written by lawyers claiming to be able to help you win your case. I won’t make that claim because I can’t back it up and really neither can they. There are rarely any guarantees when it comes to divorce.

What you will find here are resources and articles that will help you understand the process of divorce. There are tips to make things go a little easier. I can’t tell you the best lawyer for your case but I can give the attributes some of the best lawyers have and what you should be looking for in a lawyer. The articles you will find will help you to help your lawyer and the judge get all the necessary facts from your side and perspective so that you can help the system work for you rather than against you. I can’t guarantee you will get the outcome you want in your divorce by reading the articles here. I can guarantee that they will help you be a active participant rather than a passive victim of your divorce.

In a perfect world divorce wouldn’t be necessary and we would all marry the right person at the right and have the perfect family. However, we don’t live in a perfect world. Neither side is fortunate to be going through a divorce and although it may feel like one side wins and the other side looses, no one really wins in a divorce. Divorce will always be difficult but understanding what is happening can make it a little easier.
